Quayla Bramble (soprano) and Benjamin Hubbard (nylon guitar) began their duo Koimé in the Spring of 2013. They weave their sounds together to give an enriching experience. Rehearsing in open spaces, they wish to share their music with anyone. The following fall, they presented their refreshing style on stages around the California Institute of the Arts. Their repertoire includes familiar Brazilian songs with original English lyrics, an Aria from Rameau’s Plateé, The Game of Love by Toru Takemitsu, and other standard songs. These two musicians will illuminate any space they enter.
