Chris Holm & Brandon Czock

Chris Holm is a fingerpicking blues and folk guitarist, singer and harmonica player from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Born and bred in rural Northern Minnesota, just miles from the Headwaters of the Mississippi River, Chris was raised on a musical diet of Bob Dylan, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Hank Williams and Flatt & Scruggs by his Dad. His Grandmother bought him his first guitar at age 17, his Dad taught him some chords and Chris began his musical journey. He honed his skills singing around backyard bonfires before forming his first band with his sister. Eventually Chris decided to dig into the music that influenced the musicians he idolized and discovered a deep love of early 20th century country blues, gospel and hillbilly country music. He then took it upon himself to learn to pick the guitar like his idols, Bukka White, Son House, and Blind Willie Johnson and local heroes Charlie Parr and Spider John Koerner. Chris performs as a solo bluesman and also fronts a roots rock & roll band, The Fattenin’ Frogs. He plays a mix of original songs and some of his favorite old blues, folk and country songs from early 1900’s.
