Mike Behrends is an independent folk musician from Minneapolis, Minnesota. For the last decade he's been singing his brand of story folk songs across the upper midwest, accompanied by nothing but a guitar and a banjo. Behrends also fronts the indie rock band BEAR, as well as composes instrumental music for TV/film. The Onion's AV Club said it best when they said, "There's something about how Behrends' vocals ache with longing that will make you want to hop on a long country road. Seems custom-made for a mix tape of classics by Bob Dylan and selections from Sufjan Stevens' Illinoise."
