Spencer and Lisa Bernard have been married 25 years and their musical partnership goes back even further. Lisa scored a top ten hit in 1993 with “Better Than You” which she co-wrote and Spencer produced. Lisa also has recorded background vocals with many major artists,including Janet Jackson and The Human League, and Spencer has done production work for Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. Recently, Spencer has written a batch of jazzy Gospel songs that provide a perfect showcase for Lisa’s voice. He writes ‘em, she sings ‘em. They also love performing creative versions of favorite classics.  Lisa and Spencer create kid’s music and original jazz. In 1993, Lisa released an album called “Walking in the Sun” which featured the top ten hit “Better Than You”. Spencer is also a writer, having recently published his first books.
