Karen Mal (Austin, TX), Laurie McClain (Nashville, TN), and David Stoddard (Minneapolis, MN) came together during a tour in 2013, and it’s like they’d been playing together all their lives.  Friends for more than a decade, they’d oddly never performed as a group before.  All three are songwriters of some renown, having won awards and other honors at major folk festivals across North America, and each has been a solo act for long enough that taken together, they can count several decades of experience.   Now they take their act on the road, offering songs that are finely crafted, heartfelt, soulful, and, at times, bitingly funny.
